That is interesting. Less than a week until we shall find out anyway, I cannot even explain how disappointed I will be if there isnt a second region.
I'm waiting for the official website to update to see if Masuda will be on the 06/24 Smash, if he isn't advertised for it I say its likely we'll see him this Sunday on Smash.
Well I guess there is stuff like Join Avenue and the redesigned Entralink, but I can only translate and speculate at what's in it.
I guess it'd be possible the first book would have something like a page summarising it, and the second have many pages going into detail, so in a way they both cover it, but that's just a guess.

Some of the kanji I couldn't read, but judging from the quality of the sheet... I'd probably be hard-pressed to read them even I had an actual copy.
Edit: The rakuten page you just linked uses the same phrasings, and is actually expanded on from the sales sheet, so from it I could figure out the sales sheet kanji and have updated the translation.
I just hope I don't have to wait until GenVII for a game set up like the ones I've described in my blog (or a same-story different perspectives approach).
It wouldn't hurt for them to start developing for the WiiU as well to expand the story rather than a third set of games and a subpar battle sim.
Given that they keep witholding Battle Frontiers in the initial set of games, putting it on a WiiU RPG kills two birds with one stone without being repetitive. Let's face it, other than graphics, PBR's attempt at unique battle styles paled in comparison to any of the Battle frontiers.
Disappointing in terms of how they chose to implement difficulty levels since its not necessary to have two games to do so, however, at the same time its a welcomed change of pace due to the implications it has for future generations of Pokemon.
Besides, this itself is such a small addition that it's not as much incentive as having larger differences between the games, imo.
Actually, looking at that interview again, while this is a bit disappointing in terms of difficulty settings, this is exactly the direction I want Game Freak to be heading to in order to put them closer to my idea of a Pokemon game set up like the Zelda Oracle series.
Yeah, I saw that. Honestly, it just seems like a cash grab to me. I'm wondering if this difficulty feature was what was left out of BW that needed two games? Either way, a difficulty setting where you need one game to complete and a second game to set it just seems like a terrible idea.
Game Freak's just overcomplicating everything. A simple setting in the menu options should have sufficed.
Right. Japanese is all too often amount-inspecific, but the wording like in 'like "a key to make slightly stronger Pokemon appear"' makes me think that there would be be more than one key in all, plus, if some nice person goes and helps you by raising all your opponents' levels, then they wouldn't really be helping at all, though that could be me interpreting 'slightly stronger Pokemon' differently.
That was GlitterBerri apparently. I've never actually talked with her, but have found myself spotting oddities in her translations which had confused other fandoms for years before someone spotted them. :s
As for medals, it doesn't seem to be explained well. Nothing seems to link them to Fes Missions on the scans though.
All we seem to have is a single blurry screenshot:
Black2's Medal [...]:
Elite Meda[...]: 2012/ 6/23
A medal [...] awarded to commemorate [...] Rank Up to Elite Rank [...].
And a CoroCoro comment that they evaluate your gameplay.
My current thinking is that they could be something like achievements -- and displaying a date of when they were obtained ties in with this. With this system of Keys mentioned in the Iwata Asks, if they are linked, I was thinking that maybe the medals could be stepping stones to obtain different Keys to use.
Space travel and romance were mentioned in relation to the sort of ideas that came up when discussing what to put in the Poke-Wood.
As for solving the mysteries of the previous game, it was mentioned that there was still a lot of unused elements and undeveloped comments, and the story still left people with mysteries such as "Afterward, what happened to That Person?", as well as a comment that stories do not end simply by solving all of their mysteries, which I don't know what exactly was intended by it.
By the way, looking through various pages in Japanese, I think I finally figured out what that 'TV' thing was.
The owner of this blog had typed out the message, and 'TV' was written instead as 'ナゾ', mystery/mysterious. And indeed, if you consider the direction of the stroke that would be the T, it is curved and sticks out the top, and there being a tenten (") on the V wouldn't really fit with TV.
As such, it would translate to 'Something mysterious is hidden in the centre. A Pokemon?'
I still believe it is there, although I'm not as confident as I was before. But yes, I still believe there is a second region or a set of islands off-map. I do hope we get another animated trailer, as that would be a great way to reveal the second region IMO.
Also, the translation that Bluesun posted in the thread is very interesting. The part about the game mechanic and how it can "unlock another game". It seems that once you finish the game, that maybe you can play through it again at a higher difficulty? As he says "a key to make slightly stronger Pokemon appear". But the part about how someone can help another with this "key" confuses me.
It's not even worth tweeting, its definitely is a generic name. The possibility is so slim that I just don't see the point in tweeting it. If it is somehow in though, I'd be very disappointed. Like we need it again after we had it twice last generation.
True, in the movie preview once it took their energy it showed them turned to stone, right? If so, it does seem likely that it could happen.
As for the hidden features, the medal system is very intriguing. I thought they would possibly go over it in Coro Coro but they didn't, but yes its interesting. I would like if Fes Mission and Join Avenue were online features too, as I can never use features like that since I don't have someone else with B2/W2. If they made them online compatible, that would be great.
Well I say otherwise, I know how I was feeling and I wasn't meaning to be pessimistic even if it did come out like that.
I'm planning to play through the game when it leaks, I just hope they didn't come up with some new anti-piracy thing which results to us having to wait days for a patch. I'll probably be spoiled either way by those who play through the game extremely fast and post the information, though I don't care since its not like I'll be able to understand the story.
How do you think Kyurem transforms? This is one of the things I am most curious about. Someone said they think that once it gets hit by Reshiram/Zekrom's signature moves it can change its forme as it takes their DNA which I remember reading that it changes in the movie because it has their DNA. I wonder how Hilbert/Hilda's dragon may possibly play into the story too, as its in the intro. I can't see Kyurem changing formes twice in the games, but who knows.
I am also hoping that the story keeps going after the League, as it'd be a nice change from starting post-game right after the league.
Firstly, I do not find it unfathomable. There is a difference between questioning its importance and finding it unfathomable or being pessimistic.
Most of the game is basically a secret, so we just have to wait until release. I wonder if a ROM leak will happen. If I remember correctly, a B/W ROM leaked about 3 - 4 days before release. HG/SS leaked too although I can't remember how close it was to release.
I didn't see that until now, I skimmed over it at first missing any mention of the game mechanic. If that it is, I've never heard of it and its interesting I guess but if it was that important I'm sure they would have mentioned it by now.
Pokemon Smash this Sunday should show a good amount of new footage as its focused on B2W2 and Best Wishes, I still wonder if this is where Masuda will appear.
