  • I've been working loads, haven't really been paying attention to be fair. I am also too confused about certain things. Ghetsis and N have just been confirmed for a reappearance, right? Do you think we'll get a conclusion for them? I'm MOST excited about the World Championship!

I still find it strange that we haven't even had a whiff of a console game in ages. I'd hope it was Wii U and not Wii personally, but that would also likely mean it would take longer to appear, so... I'm torn.

Which are the big contentious speculation discussions re: B2W2 at the moment and I'll weigh in :)
Yes, I think it's possible. At the very least, they do know where he is. There is that one scene in the frozen-over Lacunosa Town from the animated trailer, though. So Ghetsis may have sent them to retrieve whatever it was they were holding. But I think there's a possibility that they may be present during the first confrontation between N and Ghetsis.
I don't know. I find it a little hard to believe that he would dismiss his only form of security, unless he's confident that he can stay off the radar, which he probably is. And I don't think the Shadow Triad would be involved with the search for Kyurem. Akuroma and the rest of Neo Plasma could handle that by themselves. Personally, I take whatever an antagonist says with a grain of salt.
Yeah, I did notice the medals. I think they might be some sort of an achievements system. That's always interesting, as it fits the Pokémon series' nature. Hope they pick some nice ones!

By the way, right after the medals, there is a ship travel of some sort, and unrecognizable location after that. Hmm...
Hmm... I guess looking over it again I would re-word it to "I was helping with some research that an acquaintance requested!" but I definitely don't see anything there about a match. Actually, I think the translation "match" is coming from the word "acquaintance" , which is "shiriai" in Japanese. If you take out the "ri" and just have "shiai" you get "match" as in game. The word Akuroma uses is definitely "shiriai" however, so any translation with the word "match" is incorrect.
Oh, you're right about the unrecognized city, kind of forgot about this one. Indeed, it's still unexplained, and even if it could be on the eastern Unova (which, frankly, doesn't seem very possible), the boat scene doesn't make sense at all. Well, it still confusing. The fanbase can't agree on many things of this trailer... Like frozen Unova, there are as many opinions as there are fans.

I guess the Keldeo forme, which would imply a new Keldeo event, is also a potential hint for a second region. Still wish it was an evolution.

I really hope there is a second region, but the more it takes to announce it, the more I worry about it; it's only reasonable...

I don't even know how to respond to that. They will appear together if and only if a bridge between the parallel universes is created, which I don't expect to see happening outside a hidden event. Otherwise, Kyurem will shift between the Formes.

You're being quite assertive; and even if it will simply shift forms, still, that's a thing worth wondering about. Unless players of both versions have access to both formes from-the-box (which is neither unlikely nor granted), Hilbert/Hilda will have to appear before the climax in other for the other Kyurem to be shown. It's gonna be interesting to see how they handle this.
What I meant however is; how is both Black Kyurem and White Kyurem going to appear concurrently? They don't have to, but knowing Game Freak, I'd say that it's very likely.

What I'm also tied about is whether the last boss will be Ghetsis or Achroma. Ghetsis would be a bit lackluster, but Achroma is quite predictable. And I know; the truth lies inbetween (like in BW) but I'm still curious about which / how many / owned by whom Kyurem we'll see.

Regarding the second region; I may be putting too much hope on PokéSmash, but since Masuda recorded a video (and it may be about a second region), I think we'd learn about it from him before we would from CoroCoro. Either way, you're right. CoroCoro is the last ray of hope.
I didn't say the new trailer is a reason that a second region is less likely (I think I state this quite clearly). But it simply doesn't back it up. Sure, this could be on another region, but it's much more simple to say it isn't, because it just points to an unrecognized place which could well be in Unova -- anything beyond Unova is inspired by well-hidden hints mixed with some of our wishful thinking. Furthermore, it sounds more logical that N returns to Unova rather than Ghetsis finding N. It could be the other way round, but it's a bit more complicated as a plot element.

Rather than that, the reason that chances are getting slimmer is because time is passing, and we still haven't seen a proper hint. Sure, the BW references were nice (and I bet N will mention the region where he was nevertheless), and the map looking like torn map pages is good too. I suppose we don't know World Championship's location for sure either, yet. But do we have a proper hint at all? I know there have been previous times when a second region came out of the blue and that gives me some hope; but I'm not overconfident.

You're right about Kyurem though. I thought very simply when I said it would "side" with the heroes; actually, we'll obviously have to battle with it first. I was thinking that N's Zekrom/Reshiram could fight with Ghetsis's Kyurem (in a cutscene battle, or whatever) and lose. Then Kyurem would absorb Zekrom's/Reshiram's energy, and Ghetsis would leave to carry on with whatever he's planning but this time with Black/White Kyurem instead. I bet that scene isn't a breath away from the climax.
No problem! Yeah, I'm not sure about the medals, but it's just what came to mind based on what the guy is saying. Hopefully it's something cooler than that, though.
The guy talking about the medals says "Ultra-perfect, yeah? Then have a new medal!" This seems like it might be related to some sort of mini-game, or possibly Fes Mission?
Akuroma says "I was asked by an acquaintance to help research" He doesn't say what it is that he's researching, of course!
I think its more likely to be a boat then a plane, though. Just the shape of it makes it seem like its a plane or boat in its docking area, but then again you are right about the background as it also makes it loo like a building too.

If you can get the translations that would be great, as I'm very interested in what he is saying as well as the man who gave the symbol.
The shape of the entire background and platform around Akuroma makes it look like a boat or plane to me. The whole story is very confusing at the moment,, there are lots of questions still left to be answered which we will find out when the game is released.

I wonder what the symbols we saw in the trailer mean, where the PC was awarded with one at the Pokemon Center.
Thought I'd link you to this from the new trailer. Is it possible that is the boat from the animated trailer/shizui screenshot? It looks different to me, I don't think its it. Also, take a look at this. It looks like Akuroma is on a plane/boat, so I wonder what he is saying.
Regarding N, I'm afraid I also agree that he's returned to Unova. I personally can't recognize that place, but that's not really a surprise.

That said, even if this is the case, it doesn't change the fact that there is a chance there will be a "post-main events" region to explore. That said, the chance is getting slim, and if we don't seen anything this weekend, they're pretty much going to zero. Pretty lackluster coverage, isn't this? I remember how they used to stretch the Platinum features for promotion; despite the fact that they we so few, they seemed like they were quite a few.

I'm kind of happy about Fes Missions though. They seem to be moving even closer towards the idea of "missions" for Gen VI. Though they still didn't implement online features to it (which is also not a surprise), at least this time the interaction between players doesn't seem to take place in a dreamy noir alternate universe. And also, more than two players can meet.

I wonder what's the deal with Zekrom/Reshiram vs Kyurem. How is this going to work? If that means that Black/White Kyurem requires both Zekrom/Reshiram and Kyurem -- and that Legendary is sided with Black2 and N, who is Ghetsis going to fight with? I suppose he could have a "normal" team, but that would be a bit unfair (gameplay-wise). I find it hard to believe White/Black Kyurem is also going to appear at that scene. How? Does Ghetsis have another Kyurem? Where did he find it? And more importantly, how is Hilbert/Hilda going to lose their dragon in favor of Kyurem unlocking his other Forme?

Keldeo leaves me uninterested. As I've said, I'd only be a bit excited about an evolution, becasue that would at least be something new. At this point, we shouldn't be surprised in seeing formes, but they really seem to present them as if they were a surprise, and I wish they didn't.
So much megaton going on. I don't know where to start! For now, I'll just say; MY BODY IS READY. (Ninte3ndo in less than 30 minutes).
    Exams started smoothly!
I'm surprised they never seem to give big hype the second regions that are in the games. Although, their fan base is so large that I guess they don't really need to so they can leave the fun to the player to explore it themselves. It still annoys me that a lot of people aren't even acknowledging that there could be a second region though.

Do we know for a fact that the ice covering Unova is there when we begin the games? If it isn't, I think its likely that after Kyurem changes form it will then flash freeze parts of the region. I'm also curious as to what that thing near the Pokemon League is that looks like a river, Famitsu referred to it as 'a new type of building' when they were showcasing the changes between BW and B2W2, although it could simply be their speculation. Also still curious as to where exactly Shizui's gym is located. I think that its likely to be one of the islands off Undella possibly.
What exactly did they reveal about the Sevii Islands once they announced it? What kind of pictures did they show?

I don't think we'll get very much, if anything at all about full on details of the region when they reveal it. I'm guessing we'd just get the confirmation, a few pictures and some other small things.

If somehow these games do not have another region, I'll be sorely disappointed. I think theres no excuse to not have somewhere off the map. It's a sequel after all, so it makes sense to visit another place.
I think if there is another region in the game, they'll reveal it. Its a better promotional move to hype the game. Back when G/S were released and Kanto was a surprise, it wasn't really that big of a deal as games were hardly covered as much back then as they are now, so I still expect them to cover it if there is one. Another reason being the fact that Coro Coro mentioned N was missing, and if they are going to talk about the Kyurem transformation with screenshots in that cave like we saw in the trailer, then they'll need to explain the fact that N is seemingly back considering they just said he was missing in their previous issue, and that can be done by revealing the second region.

Did the Sevii Islands get a map when revealed? There still is a chance they won't reveal it, but I'm pretty sure they would as its a big deal. We only have one week until Coro Coro like you said (well, the leak anyway) so we don't have that much longer to wait. If they don't reveal the second region, I'll be extremely worried as to whether we will even get it or not.
I wouldn't hold my breath on it, I'm not sure if we'll get anything until Coro Coro now which is disappointing. Going back and watching it, the trailers weren't really part of the show, they were just in the commercials as they are the TV commercials.

The E3 Nintendo Press Conference is at 9am, so we may get English news on a release date but I don't expect more than that.
