  • True, but B2W2 took place much in the future so its possible they could have just changed the style of the city. I mean, a lot of Unova did change in just a span of 2 years after all. But I still think you are right and its brand new.

I would have loved for it to be based on Hawaii like you stated in your earlier theory. But, it doesn't seem like it judging by the new city unfortunately.
Hopefully he gives you a reply, even if he just acknowledges it and says something similar to the thing about the bird.. "No comment".

Do you think there is even a slight possibility that the second region could be revisiting an older one? I really, really hope not. I hope its somewhere brand new. We don't need to go back to Kanto again, we've done that time and time again. Johto just had a remake 2 years ago. Hoenn should be revisited in its own remake, and Sinnoh is too new to go back to already.
You should. I mean, he did acknowledge the mystery bird silhouette from the AR Searcher after all.. so I don't see why he wouldn't acknowledge your tweet about the new city.
I just want the story to continue after the League, thats my main thing. Its hard to tell if the frozen city is Lacunosa or the new city. It looks like Lacunosa, but in the trailer when the protagonist is running through the city of ice after the Shadow Triad it looks similar to the buildings you spotted off the boat.. so its hard to tell.

The website made an update on the main site about the animated trailer, but not directly on the B2W2 website which I found odd. I think this may be the only one we'll get, but I would really love at least one more. There is still over a month before release so I think there is a chance we could get another one. This whole second region speculating is really making me eager, I wish we could just find out already. I hope they don't wait until Coro Coro.
If there is a second region, I hope we go to it during the main story, even if its just part of the second region and the rest isnt accessibly until after we defeat the Pokemon League. I want the second region to be a big part of the main story, too. What I would really like though, is that the main story continues after the League and we then go to the second region to find N and continue the story. I would like the main storyline to continue even after the League for once.

Do you think we'll get a follow-up to that animated B2W2 trailer? I really hope we do, and it wasn't just a one off thing. I'm looking forward to Smash to hopefully see some new footage of the game, and also to see what they reveal about the movie to see if it is indeed a Keldeo forme or a new Pokemon. I wonder when we'll get the next gameplay trailer.

Interesting thing to note: Giovanni is using his HgSs sprite here, but they used his FrLg artwork in Corocoro. I'm not sure what to make of this, but I sure hope new artwork is given to them during special releases. I personally don't see Giovanni being part of the original roster since he was given a special cameo in HgSs.
Yeah that is a problem, I'm hoping that this isn't a Unova area with those style of buildings.

Hmm, I was just looking up both Liverpool and Portsmouth, I can see how they would resemble the city in the short, but I wish that we could have seen more of the city to get more hints.
I dunno exactly, but its from this website. The Yokohama Outing

Unfortunately its not London, but they note the style of the buildings to be English as in England. I was mainly searching for the buildings themselves and what their architecture was based on. The harbor right now is one of the most convincing things of another region for me, as I imagine it would be prominent on the map like Castella's is.
It was? :O Never caught that reference!
However, it also did mention that Blue "climbed up to be the Champion" or something. Well, at least there is a chance they are not absolutely "simulation" battles...
By the way, what do you think about that "battle that cross time" thing regarding the World Tournament? Clearly, there seems to be (to my pleasant surprise) some story background -- but what's up with that "battles that cross time" thing?

On a related note, I'm glad the AR Searcher Dream Radar is an extension to the Dream World. I suppose that could be the way to obtain Gen V Pokémon with Hidden Abilities. Glad to see the game also has a story background. I hope that it gives more clues for understanding the mystery that is the Dream World.
It does look like Lacunosa, and now that I'm thinking about it, there's a water path formed near Lacunosa, which means the ship could be leading there. Then again, there's clearly a harbor in the mysterious city (which I doubt has been built in Lacunosa, since the water path was probably not built by intention), and it doesn't really seem frozen.

Indeed, we are facing quite a few questions... Depending on how one sees it, you're lucky for not minding spoilers; I'm going to have to wait until Automn to answer most of the questions. :p

Completely irrelevant, but I received my 3DS today. Pretty amusing system in about every sector, concept-wise. Despite Nintendo's position in the last generation, I have to say that the online system is far ahead of its competition in many things. Great interface (both physicaly and intellactualy) and amazing options. They also seem inclined to be doing a lot of keeping-consumer-interested kind of stuff. I'm confident that Generation VI will utilize these features greatly. Incidentally, DS games don't look very good at all on 3DS, especially the 2D ones... If they don't do something about the resolution, I think I'll just use my DS lite for B2W2.
I wouldn't put it past Game Freak. Hopefully they'll get us to explore some new dungeon that gets triggered as a result of this event in the new region.
Well, as it stands, Pirouette forme is fairly obsolete since there's the lag time in transformation. I'd much prefer Relic Song becoming a trigger than an entire forme not being useful. Besides, it's a base 75 power move that gets STAB and has a 10% chance of sleep. Who knows, maybe they'll make it at least base 100 to compete with Return.

Or perhaps Meloetta will still turn back after the battle, but the red shoes will keep it from transforming back in battle even when Relic Song is used?
Well, the shoes are presumably more tied to dancing than it is to singing. We know that Meloetta will transform back into her original forme after the battle is over. If the event is about the red shoes, I believe the shoes will keep Meloetta in permanent Pirouette forme after using Relic Song, and perhaps give her some sort of boost.
Given that we know Meloetta unlocks something else in the game, perhaps whatever it unlocks relates to the post-game region?
If anything, that would suggest the second region is handled much like Sevii Islands, except it's actually related to the main plot rather than some distraction that could have been taken away without affecting the overall story. On a side note, due to me only catching ~20 Pokemon throughout my game runs, it took me quite a long time before I realized Sevii Islands actually had more to it.
I noticed people acting as if the dragonspiral tower thing was present, but its pretty clear that it was from BW. N is missing in B2W2, I doubt they would show him as the very first thing in the trailer to show he is there when it was clearly stated he is missing. It was likely done to just remind people that N will be apart of B2W2.

I've noticed a lot of people hardly ever discuss a second region and don't even acknowledge that its possible. I'm surprised about that, considering its a big deal. It seems only a select few actually seem to discuss it thoroughly, two of them being us.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw a parallel universe.

I hadn't noticed the city background either. Hopefully the main adventure has us going through both regions. I definitely don't see them creating a unique city for a game advertisement.
I wouldn't call it 'concrete evidence' just yet, but it's a pretty good indication. For what it's worth, that's the most reasonable explanation for taking a ship. But they're not always reasonable. :p

The boat is certainly not in Shizui's city, for all it matters. It's hard to tell, but I'm not sure if it is even the shame ship. I believe it is, and it seems likely that the place where this ship is docked is actually its destination; maybe the mission is fairly stealthy during the trip, and the heroes get discovered once they reach the destination. Fingers crossed for going out of the current map. :p

The short was super cool. Amazing scene direction, great animation and no compromises. It makes me want an actual Pokémon anime based on the game's world (and preferably original instead of based on a game). Incidentally, the rival is much more likeable than I expected. I wonder what the deal with the Shadow Triad is... Their apperances seem to point to the fact that they aren't actually the Striaton brothers.

By the way, I also liked how the N part of the trailer is taken from BW. The transition with the logo change is pretty good, following that scene.
