  • Yeah, I mean, I've heard that 5D's was good and it has a good plot or whatever, but the majority of it seems so boring...the main character is also so...serious. And not necessarily in a lulzy way either. I think it's kinda mean of the writers to break poor bb Jaden like that, but it definitely set him apart from other main characters. All he wanted to do was have fun playing a children's card game...he didn't want to save the world or restore balance or any shit like that :(

    What.

Stop what you're doing and watch Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged series. You are not an internet consumer unless you do.

    Yu-gi-oh: The Abridged Series
I watched the entire original Yu-gi-oh series except for the arc about motorcycles (I'm not suicidal) and I know enough about GX to get by (I'm planning to watch some key episodes later in my free time). I have a deck of yu-gi-oh cards shared with my sister. That's about the extent of my yu-gi-oh merchandise XD I still really liked it though, and it's not like I'd be watching (or getting) LK's stuff if I wasn't a fan in the first place. I remember waking up at like 7AM every saturday just to catch the new episode haha
I am good, although I didn't do much of note these days. However, I finished a logic puzzle book (the one with Nikoli puzzles, which Sudoku falls under), so I felt great finishing it. Also, I will be having my convocation next month.

    Thanks for asking.

    You?
I'm not saying that they're speed demons, but they aren't like...stationary XD Then again, his fastest pokemon, Ninjask, was kinda lame. Probably because he couldn't fit it in with his normal style? Either way, his strategy works. I'm more of an Ash type in that I love fast, hard-hitting pokemon, but in my opinion, they take the least amount of strategy and only works well if you're lucky XD A defensive team is harder to work with, but is usually more flexible with different teams and can pay off well.

Yeah, I can believe it ;P (I'm not really that successful though...) I think what "broke" Paul during his battle with Brandon is that he DIDN'T know what would make him happy...not that he doesn't have the means to acquire it. It's very possible for people to have all those things you listed and still not be happy. I mean, what was Paul's goal all this time? To beat Brandon so he could prove his brother wrong. But why? Was it to make himself stronger? What would happen after he accomplished that goal? The satisfaction that he beat his brother even though his brother fully believes that he made the right choice as a breeder?

I don't think that his hardships are what's preventing him from having a happy life...I think it's him. Oftentimes, the hardest part about being happy is knowing what you want.

Which is why I support ComaShipping. For once, Paul had something other than his fairly shallow goal to look forward to...an actual human to communicate with, to react to his actions. It basically reminded him what it was like to be human rather than a power hungry machine.
Yeah, I think that was pointed out quite a few times during his run, haha. But the thing is, Paul doesn't compensate speed for his defensive strategies either, I mean, look at his Honchkrow! And it seemed like he knew exactly what Ash was dealing with when he evolved his turtwig, so I assume he made the same mistake and had to adjust accordingly :p I think that Paul would look EXCELLENT with a female Jellicent :D

I didn't say that I minded his bitterness, it makes up a lot of his character XD I'm just saying that he deserves to be happy every once in a while, and not the sort of happiness that's driven off of sadism. I think that for Paul, his "active father figure" was Reggie. I mean, it looks like Reggie takes care of the house and everything for him...I know that just because we don't see their parents doesn't mean that they exist, but the "Brandon is Paul's dad" theory is so embedded in my mind that I can't help but to construct a headcanon on how he was negligent and left the family to do Fronteiry stuff while putting all the responsibility on Reggie/their mom (of course, there's the dead mom cliche that could be playing a role here, and I wouldn't have a hard time believing it considering Paul's less than gentle characteristics)

No, I have not. What is it about?
