So the Fighter/Warrior is the physical tank, able to cast low-level white magic when upgraded to the Knight; the Black Belt/Monk is the Glass Cannon, being pretty much the same after upgrading to the Master; the Thief is the Fragile Speedster, able to cast low-level black magic when upgraded to the Ninja; the Red Mage is the Jack-Of-All-Stats, being able to cast both kinds of magic and deal decent damage, but doesn't have access to the highest-level magic, the Red Wizard upgrade giving access to the rest of his spells; the White Mage is the healer, with the White Wizard giving access to her highest-level spells; and the Black Mage is the offensive magic user, with the Black Wizard upgrade giving access to his highest-level spells.
brentalfloss was Red Mage, Madeline was White Mage, and Ran was Black Mage. The song is basically the three mages singing about themselves. And Black Mage has a rap section (which kinda threw me the first time, along with the fact that Black Mage's glowing yellow eyes are just yellow shades).
Oui. Me and my brother know him for his With Lyrics videos (where he takes video game music and sings along with it), but he makes other videos, too. The link I gave you was Ballad of the Mages, a song he did along with Madeline Olsen and Mega Ran for Final Fantasy's 25th anniversary.
