My bus was in the shop quite a bit last year. Let's see.... there's the regular service thingy, then we have an ABS issue, and just days after it came back from getting inspected to determine the ABS problem, it overheated. Although this wasn't a major problem, my bus went on a field trip to the quarry that always gives the school a good shake and came back with tires full of rocks. I eventually decided to take matters into my own hands and went out to the school and removed the rocks myself.
One of the ways our county is lazy is that my bus (615) is equipped with Air Conditioning. Only because of some mechanical problems and operator error (specifically a sub driver running the AC without the engine running), ours doesn't work. The noise of all the other buses idling is deafening and matters aren't helped by the fact we have to go back to opening the windows. At least our bus does have roof hatches that can be opened in either direction. Its been like this since last year.
I didn't take a language. I'm terrible with other languages. I did try American Sign Language in the 9th grade, but I haven't take any other languages since.
Today was our first day messing with the software and I was completely dumbfounded on how to use it.
It's a class that helps with stuff like social skills. This class is also rather unique among other classes in that we make copies for the school and get paid while doing it.
It's also been okay on my end, but I've been told that this year will be the hardest year in High School. On a plus side, I have two CTE courses (CADD 1 and Applied Tech 3) this year so I get to see one of my favorite teachers every day. Another interesting side is that Applied Tech 3 doesn't do modules like 1 and 2 or even normal projects. Instead, you get a single project and a rather large budget, and have to take what you have learned and use it to build something for the school. My class has decided to make a Tee-Shirt Delivery Mechanism (TDM for short), this is a big fancy way of saying "Tee-Shirt chucker/cannon."
Other classes I'm taking this year include Computer Mathematics (I think it should be called Computer Programming), Basic Skills, US/VA History, Chemistry, and English.
