The Venn Court. A place where the mystical and the scientific meet.
Since time immemorial, the world was always governed by forces beyond mortal control. Many, in the past, strove to figure out what made this world tick. Thus, we pushed ourselves into the scientific age. This segregated those of reason and those of mysticism, and the divide only grew as time wore on.
This place, this Institute, is our chance to change that.
Welcome to Venn. This premise of this world is such: you play a character who is a part of an institute known as the Venn Court, or Venn. This place is where those of science and those of magic meet to convene with one another.
Scientist, magitech engineer, supernatural being, person affiliated with either; doesn't matter whom you play. Everyone has a reason for being sent to Venn; perhaps they love to research the mystical, they wish to share findings, they're from a family of Venn members, etc. What that reason is will be up to you.
All you have to do is take the first step inside.
Some Things To Note
- Venn is not an academy - it's an institute. Nobody's forcing you to go to classes. It's a place for research. If your character does go to class, that's entirely up to you.
- Venn is called a lot of stuff: "The Venn Court", "Venn Institute", "the Institute", etc. Don't get too confused.
- The institute is located inside of a town made by humans, surrounded by a vast wilderness that could have just about anything. Yes, your characters can be from any of them.
- All types of beings exist. Vampires, werewolves, minotaurs, demons, spirits, androids, homunculi, etc.
Rules
- All BMGf rules apply here.
- No godmodding, powerplaying, and metagaming.
- None of the following powers: spacetime, resurrection, pure invincibility, omni-powers.

Name: Aubrey Reynard
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Appearance
Rey stands around 5'10" in height. Black hair, brown eyes, and olive skin are his primary features. Typically, he could be found wearing clothes that are pretty comfortable; you'd have to teach him the finer points of fashion if you wanted anything beyond "comfy, passable, and easy to wear".
Ability/Skills
Rey primarily sticks with the rational side of things. While he has a good bit of magical practice, he's trying to more or less distance himself from the staunchly mystical upbringing by clinging to science. He's not a very great engineer - some might even call it deficient, but he's good at theory, study, and application of knowledge.
Purpose
Research. Came here of his own volition.
Other: Prefers to be called Rey. If you know his first name, tease him, it's a laugh.
