Its nice to have conformation though. We’ve never had an in-game champion (equivalent) join the league before so it was an uncertainty beforehand.

I only saw Masked Royal with Kukui watching the battle

Atleast let Torracat evolve for its final battle against Incineroar.

Why even bother? The Alola League will likely be the last big moment of SuMo sometime in the late summer/early fall of this year, so even if he evolves he'd just be dumped at Oak's place a few episodes later (most likely off-screen), and who knows when we'd see him again.

Kukui is the closest to a Champion that Alola had right now, so I don't think that'll happen this time.

No. The rivalry between these two is too important for something like that to happen.

I don’t think its going to happen, since Kukui’s Incineroar is pretty much Cynthia’s Garchoml/Alain’s charizard of this series.

I’m positive Incineroar will be saved for last for Kukui.

Kukui's could wear a championship belt or something. Hawlucha got an outfit out of nowhere in the Kalos league so it could happen if the writers want to make it work.

They've been focusing on Gladio's three pokemon. It would be weird for Gladio to not use Silvuddy, his main pokemon in the games.

Obviously it can happen, but it will feel cheap if it comes out of nowhere and the problem is that if the Masked Royal and Incineroar somehow get the belt and Kukui's Incineroar has it, that means its whole cover is blown, which basically means that whole Masked Royal being Kukui but he avoids people finding out arc was pointless, since then people know it was Kukui, which also instantly might destroy the Lore behind Masked Royal.

And its the same thing if you reverse it. If Masked Royal is gonna battle, people are gonna wonder where Kukui is.

If the writers are going to scrap a highly plot relevant evolution, it isn’t going to be because of a running gag.
