Either way it all comes down to personal preference since everyone likes a different female lead the best.

I voted Kris, cause GSC are the games I most clearly remember from my childhood, and I remember her blue hair being awesome.

I voted Dawn since I like her design the most and her coat in Platinum is cute, that and I like her in the anime the most out of all the female companions.

In terms of design, there are only 2 correct options: Hilda and Serena.

Rosa and Leaf/Green is acceptable.

Any other answer will never be right as long as Hilda and Serena exist.

I picked Green/Leaf because of her Pokemon Adventures counterpart

My pick would be either Brendan in ORAS, Hilbert, Calem, or Elio, the only ones to have canonically caught a Legendary Pokémon (Rayquaza, Reshiram/Zekrom, Xerneas/Yveltal, Solgaleo/Lunala). In-story these are supposed to trump any normal Pokémon.

Between those four it might be a toss up since three of them have different big guns for each version.

Swap the guys for the gals and there you go.
