The announcement alone will kill any hype for the Crown Tundra.

Everyone who has bought IoA has already bought CT. Game Freak has got your money, you can't get it back. November, they will be wanting more of your money. Hyping/promoting Crown Tundra wouldn't be a good return on investment, as theres very few people who are interested in the expansion to not have bought it by then.

Possible titles for next remakes after Gen IV remakes in the future

Gen V: Black 3 and White 3
Gen VI: XZ and YZ
Gen VII: Bright Sun and Bright Moon
Gen VIII: Shiny Sword and Shiny Shield

One thing that might legitimately hint towards Sinnoh remakes is the presence of Torterra in the New Pokemon Snap trailer. Anyone else find this mildly suspicious? The only other starters shown are 1st gen, which have strong nostalgia and got Gigantamax forms, and 7th and 8th gen, which are related to recent games. 4th gen though, that sticks out, 4th gen hasn't been relevant for a while. So why promote it now if not for a DP remake coming out soon? Now maybe if we see the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, or 6th gen starters in New Snap, this goes out the window, but if not, they may be promoting an imminent Sinnoh remake.

It probably means nothing and you're looking too much into it.

The Pokémon series does have quite a history of putting little hints in trailers and video backgrounds, though. Anyone remember the gold and silver balloons from Pokémon Sunday that "randomly" appeared one or two weeks before HeartGold and SoulSilver were announced?

Trailers like this one are carefully put together and a lot of thought goes into what is shown and what is not. Could be false alarm, of course, but it's safe to say that Torterra didn't just pop up there by accident.

Okay, so, regarding Dynamax in Sinnoh. Spoilers if you haven't played the DLC yet.

First of all, Urshifu live in the mountains in Sinnoh. Second of all, seems Vespiquen will be the cause for Dynamax. It will probably bring over traces of it into Sinnoh by you know, acting like a bee.

Eternatus would have to be made available.

Not really, Rayquaza wasn't available in X and Y even though it has been confirmed to be the first-ever Pokemon to Mega Evolve.
That wasn't established yet, and Rayquaza doesn't even have a Mega Stone. Eternatus is the creator of Dynamax, and every game that features Dyamaxing has to either include it or reference that it attacked the region during the first Darkest Day in order to avoid violating Sword and Shield's lore.

ORAS already contradicted X and Y's lore, it isn't out of the realm of possibility of the D/P remakes having some sort of contradiction against Sw/Sh's lore.

Except it was firmly established that Dynamax did not exist until the meteor containing Eternatus struck Galar. And, Sinnoh might not even have Dynamax if it's a Gen 9 game, which I think that they will be.

D/P remakes can easily be Gen 8 games to further feature Dynamaxing. Also, it was firmly established in X and Y that Mega Evolution originated in Kalos even though ORAS contradicted that statement.

That would leave Gen 9 with nothing aside from the main games and possible DLC, if we get Let's Go Johto this gen too.

It's never too early to remake a game that has passed its 10th anniversary.
BW is too much like the modern games, except for the absence of the Exp. All, the Fairy type, and 3D graphics. I think that they won't be remade until the Switch's successor is released.

It has nothing to do with keeping up with patterns, modern or not. The Switch can easily get a Gen 5 remake regardless of past "patterns"
