What’s Your Favorite Pokémon (Generations 1 and 2)

My favorite Gen 1 Pokémon is Haunter.

My favorite Gen 2 Pokémon depends on the criteria. In terms of coolness, it’s Skarmory. In terms of cuteness, it’s Quagsire.

I didn't vote for any Gen II Pokemon because I'm not a big fan of their designs.
So I voted for Ditto because it is a very cute Pokemon, although, like with Nidoking and Ekans, I think it looked better pink than purple.

Gen I is my least favorite generation, but there are some notable favorites of mine: Bulbasaur line, Butterfree, Venonat/Venomoth, Ekans/Arbok, Grimer/Muk, Koffing/Weezing, Vulpix/Ninetales, Growlithe/Arcanine, Lapras, Magikarp/Gyarados, Tauros, Raichu (always preferred it since I never really liked Pikachu), Ponyta/Rapidash, Dratini line, Eevee/Flareon/Jolteon/Vaporeon, and Mew.

Gen II: Cyndaquil line, Houndour/Houndoom, Hoothoot/Noctowl, Natu/Xatu, Ledyba/Ledian, Murkrow, Spinarak/Ariados, Sneasel, Girafarig, Misdreavus, Stantler, Dunsparce, Aipom, Snubbull/Granbull, Crobat, Espeon, Umbreon, Delibird, Smeargle, Miltank, Larvitar line, Suicune, and Lugia.

I always loved Gloom, Eevee and Vulpix but ai cast 1 vote for Aloan Vulpix as she is the pokémon of choice for my best girl Weiss Schne from RWBY.

There are too many to list in total, so I'll just say that my top 5 favourite Generation 1 Pokemon are Charizard, Machamp, Gengar, Aerodactyl and Mewtwo.

So, I get REAL particular on this. I really, really love the designs for the Squirtle line, but ONLY in the old Sugimori water color style, when the colors were more saturated. This is petty, but I'm still petty with how purple Blastoise was updated to look, how his shell lost so much vibrance, how squirtle's eyes have so little red in them now... Man, trying to think what my favorite gen 1 Pokemon is with the new coloring is REAL difficult. Uh. I dunno. Maybe Articuno? But man, I prefer the old art for Articuno WAAAAY more too...

Feraligatr is probably my favorite Gen 2 Pokemon. And he came out of the old art style WAY better than Blastoise. Though, honorable mention to the Legendary Beasts, which I think are the best legendary trio in the entire series.

Mine are Ampharos, Dragonite, Porygon, Quagsire, Cyndaquil, Heracross, and Shuckle. I haven’t really used any of them, but they’re all pretty cute.
