I think that your post maybe my favorite one from my thread about the biggest complaints on the series. I really feel the same way because I've been keeping up with the BW series and I'm not really feeling the anime like I used to. So, I'm thinking that DP is where my love for the show came to a close....
Seeing that it will NEVER end and the main idea behind the series has been lost I don't see a need to see the series go downhill as it becomes less and less about being a master and catching them all.
