I'm doing pretty well! I've been locked out of my account for months, but I just got back into it yesterday. Whew. How's aerospace engineering been treating you lately?
Oh dear, glad to hear you made it back at least. Also happy new year!
And you might not like to hear that I changed my major from Aero to Computer Engineering over the summer >o<;
*cough* TRAITOR *cough*
Nah, I kid. Most of my friends who get into CompE really love it; that makes sense, given how we've grown up in the tech/social media age. I think you'll love it. And if you still want an aerospace focus, avionics is a fascinating field. And happy new year to you as well!
Don't get me wrong, I still love aerospace, and it was a really difficult decision for me. The main reason I decided to switch was because of job prospects. See I'm currently not a US citizen (and it'll be a while before I can get citizenship), and most Aerospace employers require citizenship and security clearance because they work either with defense contractors or the US government directly. And yeah, electronics plays a huge role in the aero industry so I'm not leaving the aerospace world entirely.
Oh no, I didn't know about the citizenship aspect.
But you're smart enough that you found a loophole! Have you picked any sort of specialization in CompE? I know tons of people who get a Computer Science minor in addition to their AE degree.
