Sweet! I’m am pretty fluent, yeah. There’s a few words I don’t know. I was born in Israel myself but raised in the US.

מתי עברת לארצות הברית? אני גר במישיגן עכשיו, אבל באופן זמני בשביל לימודי דוקטורט. אתה יודע עברית רק מהבית או גם מלימודים?
It's a little hard to use Hebrew here, but it works.

(You’ll have to excuse I’m really bad at writing Hebrew so I’ll just respond in English; I can read pretty well though!)
I came here when I was only a few months old, but all my hebrew was taught to me by my Dad. Didn’t learn much in school that I didn’t already know. I try to go back every year or two, work permitting. My Dad just moved back for good.

No problem. I'll stick to English, then.

Where does your dad live? I grew up in Tel Aviv and am heading for a visit in 3 days.

He’s living in Hod Hasharon at the moment but I think he’ll be moving soon.

You’re so lucky! I really wanted to go to Tel Aviv for pride this year, but I can’t get off of work for that long. Maybe next year.
