Heey, yeah long time..I've only been lurking in the BDSP threads lately. Excited about the remakes?
Yep. Briefly, anyway. The rest is a Disney medley:
Proud of Your Boy (Aladdin (Broadway))
Go the Distance (Hercules)
Kiss the Girl (The Little Mermaid)
Gaston (Beauty and the Beast)
Zero to Hero (Hercules)
Proud of Your Boy is a cut song from an early version of Aladdin when his mother was in the story and one of the last few songs
Alan Menken and Howard Ashman wrote together before Howard passed away. But Jeffery Katzenberg hated that version of Aladdin,
so the film was revised to the final version known today with Aladdin's mom being removed from the plot and the song being lost as a result,
saddening the Disney Renaissance crew as it was one of Howard Ashman's final songs.
But it was eventually able to be salvaged in the Broadway adaptation.
Yep, Alan Menken jamming out with James and Adam Jacobs (Aladdin (Aladdin (Broadway)).

Yep, and James Monroe Iglehart (Lance (Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure)/Genie (Aladdin (Broadway)) will be voicing Taurus Bulba.
