okay... so for some context, I'm hunting for a shiny Squirtle in the Seafoam Islands in Let's Go Eevee. I was holding my Switch in my hands, listening to music instead of the game audio, and mostly looking at my laptop instead of the Switch screen. (Pro tip: do not do this.)
Pokémon will sometimes wander into you on their own in LG, and running away doesn't break your catch combo, so I've just been absentmindedly running from anything that I accidentally start an encounter with by mashing the B and A buttons.
And all of that sort of resulted in... um... this happening:
(I basically looked down and saw the last few frames of the second image and instantly realized what I just did.

hahah, it's okay, I'm not too broken up about it! I still caught a shiny that I'd been trying to hunt since 2020 a little bit before this happened, so I'm fine with accidentally fumbling a phase here. :p
