Why didn't they do this before? EDIT: I mean, having actual evolution animations instead of just the white light.

...And this is what happens when you overlook the plot hole you caused by moving around characters. I have nothing against Wallace, but I feel his focus should have been elsewhere, or at least done in a way that didn't cause Juan to be unintentionally unsympathetic (how come I never noticed...

Or Lorelei with Water Pokémon. I wonder if that's why they made Misty her fan in the anime (and later the games).

Yup. In fact, the only non-Flying type he has was added in LGPE, and just as a reference to Clair.

In fact, now that I think about it, Lance is more a Flying-Type specialist than a Dragon one.

Why do I feel Ash could have served as a sort of mentor to Wally?

It sounds more like a sarcastic meme to me.

I have seen people defending Journeys, not so much with Grookey.

At this point, I'm starting to question if the Grookey hate is actually controversial...

Executives said something about Ash needing a power up to show his bond with Greninja or something like that was what I read. If it wasn't for them, Ash might have gotten a Mega.

And you said what I meant. Maybe it's because Pokémon doesn't have traditional arcs (except the League or other main events), but there generally where a lot of gaps.

Am I the only one that saw the anime as extremely episodic even back in Gen I?

So in the end, Alain was really like Ryo Akiyama... sigh

You know, now that I think about it, I... actually agree with the bad timing of dropping gyms? Judging by how the Galar League is described I guess it might have been the one league that Ash could have challenged after beating any other league.

Didn't Marina take part in a Pokémon League? If so, she's more like an (offscreen) Nando.

Well, on the plus side, at least everything was available worlwide and not locked behind a game on a console that wasn't released outside Japan... Yes, I'm still bitter Digimon did that.

    Controversial opinions

Now that I think about it, it would be nice to see the other playable characters outside of cameo limbo.

    Controversial opinions

I think it's partly because they didn't give free reign to Shudo. I know executive meddling can be annoying, but sometimes it's for the best... The games might have influenced this, too, considering things like Clair or Skyla's gyms. EDIT: Or it could have been backwards... I just remembered...

Okay, I keep forgetting those are animals, and I wouldn't be surprised if the devs did, too. Specially when you can't explain it with "a Corsola did it".

Misty's gym had some real life fish and a New Year's Eve poster had a real dog.
