Mareanie isn’t really a token 'walking' Pokemon or carried around like Shaymin and Eevee, so I don’t see why would it be a deterrent. I just thought 'why would people want it to evolve?' was a strange question.

I personally find this episode better than any of the classmates battling since it provides a good chunk of character development for the TRio. Two inseparable people battling (they literally use their Z-Moves as a team) against each other is a more interesting show off than Shaymin struggling...
