I won't mind if Liko catches an Eevee as long as Eevee has a district personality and fun dynamics with the rest of the crew. Maybe even a rivalry between it and Sprigatito could be a good way to include it in the main cast while we are at it.
I enjoy the Pokémon anime for the journey, not the destination. It is just that kind of series that does not build up for a big conclusion in the end, but just to carry on in a form or another afterwards.
That means I enjoy the Best Wishes! series and the Unova league does not take the joy that...
Thanks, I just realize now that I have actually used a wrong word to describe the situation. I don't think Ash is a generic protagonist, otherwise he would have been the same character throughout various series. It is the inconsistency that has been bothering me since the BW series. Instead of...
I am not quite sure if you read my post properly. I used "me" language if I am referring to what I think of Ash's characteristic changes in the show, and I use "we" language when I say I thought we already said goodbye to the original Ash long time ago because, this is my opinion..?
I also...
I wasn't sure whether to post it or not, or what would be the right time to actually post it, but I guess this is about time now that the series is actually over.
I love Ash for whom he is. Afterall, there were only the first 2 generations and Ash was our goofy loved boy on the screens when I...
If Ash was replaced after DP series, and if the new protagonists of each generation's game were the exact copy of Ash in their respective series, it would have fit like a glove. Hilbert would be all about throwbacks to original series with his dynamics with Iris (it would be as good as BW was...
I think this is a very cultural thing that we westerners just don’t understand it the way the Japanese do. I watched the original Dragon Ball series, and it is 120 times worse, and the demographic is not even different. This is just… the way it is in Japan, I guess?
I love how Ash would occasionally come across the situations where he and his friends would imitate Team Rocket and the trio’s motto. A bunch of times in OS. But I think he never did in AG and did only once in DP. I need more of that.
I have a problem here, though. Although Ash has accomplished a bunch of milestones in the series, I don't see how he actually grew as a person. He was the same person in the last episode of the series as the first episode of the series. He has always been a semi-goofy boy who loves the Pokémon...
I was grown tired of Brock's crush gag way too earlier than his departure. Not that I dislike him or anything, but I was genuinely glad when he was written off from the main cast. It was quite difficult for me to bear with his overly-expressive crush gag especially during the D&P run.
I don't have major problems with Journeys' art style. Although I don't dislike SM art style as I initially did, especially in the early episodes it was still more out of proportion than the rest of the series, but JN at least has had a better start off with adjusting the art style.
Even Pikachu...
Genuinely speaking, I think a big majority of people wanted Ash to win the Kalos League, not that they expected him to win. So I don't think anything has backfired in that sense. It just didn't deliver what they wished.
I don't fancy episodes that solely focus on battles with no further texture to it. I always get distracted in the middle while the Pokémon keep attacking each other. Often, I don't genuinely remember what happened the entire time as I would have lost my focus other than the outcome. That's why...
I mean in the flashback scene he basically said he was tired of Kukui appreciating Alola's nature and something along these lines, and that's how he became a villain. That's just a very poor execution of making a villain, in my opinion.
I genuinely never understand how people could come to a definite conclusion in a hypothetical scenario of Ash battling Red. I mean, there is no specific pattern in the anime in the first place. Ash most of the time just... randomly wins or loses. Before it took place, who would say Ash loses to...
I was really sad to not see May during the ORAS promotion in the anime. She is not necessarily among my favorite characters, but I sure do like her and seeing old companions return always makes my heart melt down. Since the beginning of the JN series, I was lowkey hoping her VA could make a way...
Replacing Brock is one of the best decisions to be made in the anime history. I cannot truly imagine myself bearing with Brock's crush gag for another decade and half.
