I've already came up with a funny idea for an episode, which I've already told you. But for those that haven't heard it...
When Ash and his companion meet and join Dawn in Sinnoh, Scorbunny would fall in love with Dawn's Buneary, who wouldn't take any notice but instead still have her crush for...
Well for one, when it comes to starters, Ash seems to have had a lot of Grass Types: Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treeko, Turtwing, Snivy and Rowlit (6). For Fire Types he has had Charmander, Cyndaquil, Chimchar, Tepig and Litten (5). The starter pokemon that seem to be left out are the Water Types...
This twitter speaks otherwise, unless this is fake
Though it's likely the new female companion would have Grookey, since that's more towards a girl's Pokemon with the leaf bow on it's head. Also the Pokemon Center logo for Osaka and the Calendar has some indications.

Hoeen = May
Sinnoh = Dawn
Unova = Iris
Kalos = Serena
Alola = Lillie, Mallow, and Lana
Galar = Gloria/Bea or...

The gender might be confirmed of being male though...
Unless this new character is starting his journey similarly to Ash in ''Pokemon: I Choose You'', having similar personality to Ash's early days, hence Lugia (movie 2000 reference) and all that on the poster. Ash would be his tutor throughout all the Regions, and whilst this character competes in...
So you're saying chances are that this new character can still be a tomboy, regardless of that tweet that confirmed otherwise?
I do find it strange for a boy to have eyelashes like a girl. I always thought it was a simple indication to tell gender of a character.
