This, to me, is an interesting comparison point between the original and the dub. While the initial dub songs do stand up fairly well fidelity-wise to modern recordings, but the Japanese tracks seem like they used more analog equipment and have a bit more of an early-to-mid 90's quality to them...
(Mods-The forum says "Other written work", so I assume this is okay-if not, I'll move it to a blog post. In any case-there is a Game Freak/Pokemon episode of the show, so it is tangentially related at least)
Notes:
-Song is referring to this.
-I put Teen because the source material is fairly...
FYI, this song is from the soundtrack to "Pretty in Pink". If you need to hear the original, check out your parents' 80's music collection.

In case you didn't know, back in 2000 there was an easy-piano 2.B.A. Master sheet music book. That book is now available in digital form as an iBook:

Some of you may recall the unusually long gap in new (non-compilation, that is) Pokemon DVDs in the US that ran from late 2009 to early 2011. The last volumes of Battle Dimension were released in the US in October 2009, and we didn't get the Arceus movie DVD until February 2011 (more than a year...
I've been meaining to ask this one for a while. Which artist or artists would you like to do another Pokemon song? Could be from either the original or dub. Personally I'd really like to hear more from Kirsten Price since "I'll Always Remember You" is probably my favorite 4th generation dub song.

Which songs would you like to see done?
For those of you who aren’t familiar, the Vitamin String Quartet is a division of Vitamin Records that produces strings versions of famous songs. To date, they’ve released over 100 albums, covering artists from A to Z. Basically, what I wanted to know...
Many of you may recall that earlier this year the third Pokémon movie was released as a digital download (in HD for Apple TV users) on the iTunes store. Once a week or so, I check the Kids and Family charts (where the movie is ranked) to see how it’s doing. Typically, the movie floats between 80...
A few days ago, I conducted an interview with Chris "Breeze" Barczynski, singer of "Diamond and Pearl", "Living in the Shadow", and "If We Only Learn". For those of you interested, here it is:

I recently conducted an interview with Erin Bowman, singer of this year's theme song, Battle Cry (Stand Up!):

Kinda interesting that they had to change some of the words.
Before we get started, I'd like to bring your attention to the topic title. This is not a thread about whether the 12th movie is coming to US theatres, but if it did, how would you market it?
It's no secret that the original Pokemon movies released to US theatres weren't exactly marketed as...
