But we only have 2 mythicals. As someone said earlier, releasing new pkmn mid gen is a great way to prevent hackers from finding them. So they might go for it.

I wonder what they can do with it. I read somewhere that in future games, hypothetically speaking, the item can be used in breeding to get Alolan forms. Although a safari zone sounds like a better option. But in this game I have no idea what it might do. Maybe something to do with the Tapus.
