Couple of things with that: "A new version" - Do they mean "new" like Crystal was for Gold/Silver? Or do they mean "new" like Pokken was for X/Y? New doesn't have to mean that it's a 3rd version launch, it could just be a new spin off type. Personally I hope it's a 3rd person, open world game...
