    Generation VI: The Future

Called it. Magiana is in fact named Magearna in English.
  2. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

I would just call it Magearna. It's easier to pronounce and makes the gear connection more obvious.

    Generation VI: The Future

@Platinum Lucario Don't celebrate just yet, there's no indication that this is 7th gen. In fact, the way they're trying to tie this to 6th gen's Pokemon and lore it seems more likely to be a 6th gen Pokemon.

    Generation VI: The Future

@Silktree Camphrier Town may actually be pretty relevant, they could easily allow you to access Southern Kalos through a path leading south from there.
  5. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

I see no reason why they can't include Zygarde, Volcanion, Eternal Floette, and Magiana all in one game, they've done plotlines for multiple Pokemon before (albeit not all of them had major plot relevance, but we still got something for them).
  6. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Remember that to everyone that doesn't follow Pokemon religiously over the internet, Volcanion didn't exist until 2 months ago. So to them, Volcanion is just as exotic. Also, they've done movies that include next gen Pokemon and current gen Pokemon in the same movie. Hell, last gen we got a...
  7. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

A Munchlax situation would be more predictable than Gen 6.5 TBH.
  8. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Again, there's not much reason to believe that this is a Munchlax situation. Reveals like this get hyped up immediately, so if they reveal things too early people get impatient. The fanbase is already antsy because they left Zygarde high and dry, revealing Magiana an entire year before its debut...

    Generation VI: The Future

And suddenly Gen 6.5 got a hell of a lot more credence. There's only two other possibilities at this point, either we're skipping to 7th gen or they're teasing a 7th gen Pokemon ahead of time, and I don't see either of them being likely. 7th gen wouldn't make sense because they haven't explored...

    Generation VI: The Future

5th gen removed a lot more than 6th gen did. -Regional gadget apps. 5th gen gave us the C Gear, whose only use was for local communication and accessing the DW, which was near useless. Gone were the useful apps from past regional gadgets like the Poketch. Granted the Poketch was full of more...
  11. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Actually they do, they just don't know that it can be obtained. Everyone already knows Eternal Flower Floette as AZ's Floette, so revealing that it's an obtainable Pokemon wouldn't exactly be that big even to players that don't follow leaked Pokemon.
  12. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Fans of those starters of course. They'll feel cheated because they can't play with their favorite Pokemon at full power. Game Freak also loses to some degree because whatever they put in the post game is going to be harder to market and grow in popularity. There's simply not enough benefit to...
  13. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

That would garner a ton of complaints and defeat the purpose of advertising them.
  14. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

So basically PSMD's starter list minus Riolu? That might be a bit excessive, and unfair unless they introduce Megas for Raichu and the 2nd, 4th, and 5th gen starters in the game.
  15. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Again, that would kill the pacing and people would get bored. If you actually got to Lv. 50 and then suddenly stopped leveling up people will probably lose interest, if you're not getting feedback for your training there's no point. Plus some Pokemon don't evolve at Lv. 50. So too bad for fans...
  16. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

The problem with that is that this drags out the game too long and makes the grinding even more boring.
  17. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

That's exactly why it's not a fair comparison though. The Roller Skates can make any region feel small, so it's not a fault of the region design.
  18. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

@Mitchman Shallow or not, the fact of the matter is that they're creeping very close to the level cap with XY's content, so there's not a whole lot of room for extra content. Definitely not enough for an entire second region.
  19. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Not really. Beyond those routes Kalos' routes are generally about the same size as if not larger than Unova's larger routes. You can't measure region size in that way. Size specifically refers to space, or as you put it, the number of tiles. The rollerskates, pacing, and training are tied to...
  20. Bolt Strike

    Generation VI: The Future

Unova does have a lot of fairly short ones actually, about half of them are relatively short (1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 19, 22). The only thing BW2 Unova has over Kalos is 1 more route and more extra content. With South Kalos' expansion, Kalos would easily surpass Unova.
