I think I would put Nyasu on the same level as say Lucario from Mystery of Mew tbh. Grasps human language extremely well and acts less animalistic than other Pokemon due to higher intelligence, but is still ultimately drawn to the human-Pokemon partnership in a highly conventional manner...

I just hope Satoshi doesn't run into a Pokemon attack at some point in the movie so everyone knows just how serious he is about Pokemon friendship. The writers seem to think that overly suicidal behavior is the best way to show heroism.
