I don't hate the games based on my play so far, but I doubt they will be anywhere near my favorite. The game looks amazing in places, and then I can see some of the issues others are having in others.

Because it's a Pokemon game on a new system, I sorta enjoy the tutorials. But the in-game dialogue is right up there in excess with SM / USUM. Also, can I just be rid of Sonia and Hop now?

I barely got my partner Pokemon, I chose Sobble for my first attempt to play because he has higher speed (I'm starting with Sword). I think I'm disappointed at how little there is to the new Pokemon for Gen 8 in terms of fire types. The grass types outside of Grooky are boring as well.
