It isn't completely impossible for Zygarde to have another complete forme. Back when Mega Mewtwo Y was shown, we didn't know it was a version exclusive until a month before XY came out.

All of this 20th Anniversary hype seems like the perfect time to announce a new game. I half expected the trailer to end on a teaser for whatever the new game(s) is/are.

While it's true that it's not made by GF, it could potentially have pokemon originating from it, meaning it would need a slot in the code to indicate that it was from a "Gen VI" game, despite not being a true main-series game.

Maybe for the postgame GF could implement a random or semi-random dungeon or two that change every day and you could clear for experience and prizes with mostly random pokemon from past generations.
