Whenever you pay off your loan of your current house.

Does anyone knows why my original Nintendo DS has some lines on the top screen? The DS is 11 years old and it haven't been damaged as far as I know of. The lines doesn't cause any problems to the system and games play just fine and normally except that the lines are annoying.
