I’m wondering if the writers giving Ash such a powerful Pokémon as his first capture is a sign of challenges to come this series that Ash will need an A+ team to take on.
My God they’re getting smarter. That was actually a competent plan (would’ve been more so if they tried capturing said Dragonite with a pokeball, but you know, baby steps).
Probably to better fit the shipwrecked look to make things more convincing.
To this day, I have no idea what the writers were thinking doing that not just once but multiple times.
Anyways, let’s hope that this time they actually let Ash keep his pseudo-Legendary dragon and don’t come up with some stupid plot point to have him get rid of it this time.
