I’d say that that all depends on if they keep Go or not, distribute the starters and the goals of the main cast. Here’s hoping that either the goals are feasible in a way that actually shows off the starters or Ash gets Sprigatito as that guarantees that it’ll get use.
I’d say that Grookey will certainly go down as the biggest waste of space out of any starter in the anime. If the entire plan for a Pokémon in the series is to just sit there doing nothing unless it’s causing trouble, don’t even bother adding it to the cast because it does nothing to actually...
Really just goes to show how Grookey has just 2 modes in this series, nuisance and prop. What a waste of a Pokémon. I honestly feel bad for Grookey fans.
It still amazes me how they gave it an episode with Eevee to teach it to be responsible only for none of that to actually stick. What was even the point?
It’s honestly a lose/lose at this point. Either we end up stuck with the monkey until Go goes away or Go breaks another trend and becomes the first main character to have all 3 evolved starter. And honestly, it’s a pick your own poison cuz I don’t know which is worse.
And then to add insult to injury, Go is then rewarded in the end by getting the capture. You shouldn’t get rewarded for an issue that your side caused.
Go literally said that Ash takes things too far when it came to the situation. And regardless of if it would have happened sooner or later doesn’t change the fact that it did happen because of Grookey messing around nor the fact that Go deflected the blame to someone else rather than owning up...
Journeys has got to be the one entity that goes “Hold my beer” to outdo itself in something stupid.
It got Ash possessed by a Spiritomb literally a handful of episodes ago.
It’s really not an exaggeration in the least. Grookey has only 2 modes: shoulder warmer and pest gag. The majority of the time that it’s not just sitting there, it’s causing some kind of problem. Numerous episodes have either had their plot halted or had a problem within the episode caused by...
Really gotta wonder if he realizes that there’s this neat invention that would be very useful in keeping it out of trouble called a pokeball. If it can’t stay out of trouble, it doesn’t get free roam privileges.
Well that’s what happens when you give all three starters to someone who’s entire narrative hinges on nothing more than catching Pokémon to capture Mew. There’s really nothing in his narrative to build a connected narrative to his Pokémon and give them something to do. Even with Project Mew, it...
At that point the writers are being just as lazy as pre-BW where they used TRio to be the source of an episode’s conflict/resolution. You’d think after all these years that the writers would stop using such crutches.
