It depends upon the execution, really. It's a great idea, putting a spin on old Pokemon, but I don't want just Gen 1 Pokemon getting them. Plenty of other Pokemon from other generations could use it, or Pokemon that have the capacity to have more explored about their lore, a bit like Charizard...
