It would be really ̶s̶h̶i̶t̶t̶y̶ interesting if not only are Pikachu and Eevee are locked from evolving but are also locked into your party for "story purposes" and cannot be boxed or traded as a result..

On the subject of battle system changes, I could see them going with something like DQ11 Turn-based but with the ability to move freely on the battlefield.
