I don't think the idea behind Chloe's arc was bad, but it had two big problems with the execution:
Redundancy/Predictability: It's important to have foreshadowing but not to the point where you spoil the whole lesson at the beginning, as "You don't have to make a choice now" is said almost...
The good:
The family being involved.
Cerise's father being revealed?
The bad:
No Galar Pokemon, again...Poor guys, officially ran out of chances.
Too much focus on Clefairy and not Eevee. Couldn't they at least choose something with alternate evolutions?
I had a gut that something like this could happen, as production isn't as easy as it was 3 years ago and for some reason Tomioka has to write 'em all regarding battles, but I'm glad it's very plot relevant, we'll get the answers to one of the series' mysteries earlier than expected. I hope it's...
