Erika looked like she had her game/M17 kimono on instead of the dress she wore in the original episode. She did wear a kimono in the perfume shop, but that one didn't match this one/her game one either.
I was shocked when Gou's Grandmother was referred to as his grandmother because she looked so masculine. Long story short I get the distinct impression that one of the new character designers is about as good at drawing females as the girl who wrote last week's episode is at writing Ash.
Highly enjoyable episode, the references were all much appreciated and it was nice that Gou's capture was offscreen so we didn't have to deal with Aicholtz's bonuses or first-ball-catch rubbish. Seeing Ash as considered something of a legend in Vermilion Gym after his battle is pretty cool and...
