They at least appeared for a few episodes before evolving. Poor Drizzile couldn’t really be afforded that opportunity. Besides, whataboutism isn’t a valid argument anyways so I don’t know why you keep shifting to that
Those are the exceptions and not the norm, and also while Pokémon evolving after doing very little has been a thing, Pokémon evolving after doing nothing is pretty damning. Also just because Alola’s was handled badly doesn’t justify any other Pokémon being treated that way.
In game heights don’t really translate well to the anime. There’s a huge variation now in the games itself, and the anime tends to take creative liberties. See: how large Charizard is depicted to be.
