Told ya'll that Fujisaku likely meant the Meltan evolution was happening here.
Also, appears the finals are just this one episode.

They're having a contest where whoever correctly predicts the winner gets put in a lottery to...
We really don't have time for Rainbow Rocket. It's gonna be your standard TR scheme that gets easily foiled by the heroes.
Don't insult Shudo, boy, this show would be nothing without him
Then again, Alain only got that side series BECAUSE they didn't have time to develop his character in the series proper, as stated an interview with the series director.
Midnight Lycanroc still needs to lose to Dusk Lycanroc. If any of Gladion's Pokemon sits this out, it would be Umbreon, but it'll most likely be a 4v4. We went up to 2v2 because Guzma has two Pokemon, so I see no reason not to go up to 4v4 now that Gladion will be the one with the lowest number...
I will say that if Ash loses, it'll be really awkward if he just smiles it off like he did in the past two series instead of looking genuinely upset like he did during the fakeout in the Hau battle.
It still won't happen because of how much the franchise relies on the show for sales. A month break right before the release of a new generation would be the dumbest business decision ever.
We literally saw Gladion's entire team the episode right before the league. Aside from the Zoroark he obtained in that episode, Umbreon, Lycanroc, and Silvally are still all he's got.
There's really no functional difference between Ash finishing with Gigavolt Havoc or finishing with 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. The latter just looks cooler.
