    Is it possible that the anime writers dislike Professor Magnolia?

    Maybe? More than likely they just have other things on their minds and she's one of the lesser priorities when it comes to new characters that they want to show. I mean we're barely getting Sonia so maybe Prof. Magnolia is just a late bloomer.
