Some nitpicks about status move typings:
Sandstorm should be Ground-type. Sandyghast, Sandshrew, Sandaconda, Sandy Cloak Wormadam, Sandile, Sand Tomb, and Sand Attack are all Ground-type, but Sandstorm is Rock? Shut up.
Whirlwind should be Flying-type. Why is it Normal? (EDIT: Swiftgallade...
It's a status move so its typing doesn't matter but Simple Beam:
The user's mysterious psychic wave changes the target's Ability to Simple.
Type: Normal??????
What are you even saying here?
Why should that confuse them? It's not like they didn't see what just happened.
What's confusing about any of these?
That was due to a glitch, and hasn't been in the game since Gen 4.
What is confusing about any of these???
It does.
Icy Wind is Ice-type because it has Ice in the name. Regular wind should be associated with Flying, considering moves like Hurricane, Gust, Air Cutter (which mentions razor-like wind), Air Slash, Wind Rage...
Fighting types would not be crippled if Razor Wind was super effective against it...
"Self-Suggest" sounds pretty close to hypnotism to me (the power of suggestion and all that), and hypnotism is definitely considered psychic in other areas, like Hypnosis and Hypno.
There's a thread for new move ideas. This is for changing existing ones.
It's not a 5x hit ratio, it's a 5x maximum. It averages out to about 3 hits.
How the heck are they getting outclassed? Multistrike moves of other types frequently have better accuracy, more PP, and a higher base power...
You can't "glitch" a wiki page to have wrong info, it'd be an error if anything, and you can see on other sites that it's true.
The signature move of Meowth in the anime, a move that's basically just Scratch done multiple times... should be Dragon?
Probably because merging two Pokemon together mid-battle would be too complicated, and pretty bad for the player using them, since they'd lose a Pokemon that way.
That doesn't make any sense. Being made out of metal doesn't mean a Pokemon can make a lock out of itself any more than being made out of flesh means I can create a tail because tails are made from flesh.
You're just looking at the move page-you should be looking at the ability page instead.
That'd be pretty overpowered to half so many moves without a drawback.
Just because counters exist doesn't mean there needs to be a 100% accuracy for it. A change like that would make competitive based almost entirely around sleep, since any Pokemon without a sleep defense would be instantly shut down.
Bounce is because the user's whole weight slams into the target, like with Body Slam. It's not really a mystery where the user goes with Fly, Dive, or Dig-the foe saw them head into the sky/sea/earth.
