If I get disappeared on account of my accidental discovery of GameFreak's stat assignment system, I'll try to leave a hastily-scribbled note before the door is broken down.
Vikavolt is so fast in the overworld that you can't escape it without turbo-boosting the bike. The 'Dex entries refer to 'zipping around' and 'acrobatic flying maneuvers'.
Vikavolt's base Speed is 43.
I'm more surprised by the relative position of BW, given how highly they're regarded by the community. I think it must owe something to being the second pair of titles on the same console (and thus impacting the sequels similarly).
Noticed a curious little piece of dissonance - Galarian Weezing changed form through consumption of high levels of pollutants, and is noted as being markedly better at doing so than the Kantonian version...but, thanks to part-Fairy typing, it is actually less resistant to Poison-type attacks.
In Gen 1, all types are immune to the secondary effects of moves of that type.
Sounds obvious, right? We all know Fire-types are immune to burn, and Poison-types can't be poisoned. But there's a twist in the tale that wasn't discovered for decades and it had colossal impacts on the very oldest...
Gen 1 doesn't track the PP of AI teams. Gen 1 AI trainers will always use a move of a type that is super-effective against you, even if that move is non-damaging. Taken together, the consequences can be disastrous and darkly hilarious.

Deoxys-S is so fast it can break Trick Room.
EDIT: There was once a tale - nay, a legend - of an Ubers player on Showdown who led with Deoxys-S. He used Agility three times before forfeting the game, claiming that he had broken through time and space into the next game he was due to play.
