Pokémon Sword and Shield - Spooky Cup 2021 online competition is open for registration

A new online competition has been announced for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield to celebrate the Halloween season. Registration for the Spooky Cup 2021 competition will begin on September 29, 2021, at 10:00 p.m. PDT, and will remain open until October 14, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. The competition itself will then take place from October 14, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, until October 17, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

The competition will be conducted as a Double Battle format. Each Pokémon in your Battle Team must have the Galar symbol or battle-ready symbol. Duplicate Pokémon and duplicate items are not permitted. Trainers who participate in at least one Battle, regardless of whether they win or lose, will earn 50 Battle Points.

The following Pokémon are eligible for the Spooky Cup:

To register for the competition, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select VS.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Select Search Official Competitions.

To view your rankings after the competition has ended, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select VS.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Select Search Official Competitions.

To receive your participation gift after the competition, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Mystery Gift.
4. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
5. Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.
