Register now for the Pokémon Sword and Shield - Test Your Luck! Online Competition - Competition begins January 7th

Registration for the Test Your Luck! Online Competition in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield has started, and will remain open until January 6th, 2022. The competition itself will then run from January 7th, 2022 at 00:00 UTC to January 9th, 2022 at 23:59 UTC.

The competition will be conducted as a Single Battles format. Check in-game for more rules for the competition. Trainers who participate in at least one Battle, regardless of whether they win or lose, will earn 50 Battle Points.

Pokémon in Battle Teams must have either the Galar or battle-ready symbol. Only Pokémon that knows the move Metronome can participate. If the Pokémon has any other moves, it will be disabled during the battle.

The full list of eligible Pokémon includes:
Clefairy, Clefable, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Machop, Machoke, Machamp, Gengar, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Chansey, Mr. Mime, Jynx, Snorlax, Cleffa, Togepi, Togetic, Politoed, Smoochum, Miltank, Blissey, Ludicolo, Sableye, Dusclops, Happiny, Munchlax, Togekiss, Dusknoir, Aromatisse, Slurpuff, Inteleon, Sinistea, Polteageist, Impidimp, Morgrem, Grimmsnarl, Mr. Rime, Alcremie, and Indeedee.

To register for the competition, follow these steps:
  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
  2. Open the X menu.
  3. Select VS.
  4. Select Battle Stadium.
  5. Select Online Competitions.
  6. Select Search Official Competitions.
To view your rankings after the competition has ended, follow these steps:
  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
  2. Open the X menu.
  3. Select VS.
  4. Select Battle Stadium.
  5. Select Online Competitions.
  6. Select Search Official Competitions.
To receive your participation gift after the competition, follow these steps:
  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
  2. Open the X menu.
  3. Select Mystery Gift.
  4. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
  5. Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.
