Hello Dear Community,

Really long story short.
I'm born in 91, and I collected Pokemon cards as a child. For some reason, my mother saved them in the house.
I think there are 30 1st edition cards
Maybe 100-star cards (in the 100 there will be included some hole, some reverse holo and shinning.
A few cards which seem so rare I can't even identify them.
Most of the cards look new because my mother put them inside a small plastic pocket

I really really hope somebody in this forum will bless me with their expertise because this is a totally different world.
I need help with the process I want to sell them.

I have att some of the cards I think maybe could be worth something.
There is a lot of pictures here Items Shared on 4-21-2021

Best regards N

So, there's a couple of things in here which may be worth something - unfortunately, the overwhelming bulk of old Pokémon cards are worth very little; even at the time they were printed in huge quantities and are already in the hands of lots of people. As a rule of thumb, it's popular Pokémon that tend to be worth the most, particularly Charizard.

The ones I think may worth taking a punt on are: Charizard, Dark Charizard, Shining Tyranitar, and Dark Tyranitar.

In terms of selling them they'd be best suited as individual listings on eBay, which is where I also got a broad sense of price from. However, you should be very skeptical of the 'buy it now' prices presented on eBay - you can always tell if the price is inflated by how long certain listings have sat there and how many of them there are. I think some sellers are looking at recent headlines and dramatically overestimating the actual demand for certain cards.

Also, make sure that what you have matches the other listings. For example, prices seem to be very high for holo (shiny), mint-condition Shining Tyranitar, but yours doesn't appear to be holo at first glance and it's difficult to tell the condition. Do your research and don't set your hopes too high; if a careful look at the listings really makes you think you've struck gold, it may be worth getting a couple of the cards professionally PSA-graded.

I'd set them as auctions, with low starting bids. Ultimately, auctions are the best determinant of actual demand for what you have, as the final price will reflect what people are actually willing to pay.
