Grinding to Level 40 for Clair.

Yeah, no Vs Seeker was awesome....now I have to beat Level 20 Pokemon over and over again for hours and hours and hours and hours and maybe someone will call for a rematch MAYBE if I even take the call.

Getting ready to fight Whitney. Pokémon will all be at lv 25, when I level up my Paras a little bit. Got Brick Break for my Quagsire. Team is:

Just beat Jasmine. On my way to stop Team Rocket at the Lake of Rage.

My team currently:

Quilava lvl 27
Furret lvl 27
Vaporeon lvl 27
Doduo lvl 28
Raichu lvl 35

Raichu gets boosted exp since I got it off the GTS...and I sort of went crazy training it on the water route between Olivine and Cianwood. x_x That's why it's so far ahead of everyone else. Oh well. When I get to Blackthorn, he's going to pwn that Kingdra for me.

Still don't know what to use in the sixth slot for my team. I'm thinking I might go back to the Safari Zone and catch a Larvitar or a Cubone. Suggestions anybody?

^If that was a pain, what about grinding a Pokémon from Level 1 to Level 46? Granted it was traded, but still took me a couple of hours. Now, with a decent team and good levels, I'm finally heading to Johto Falls.

-Ryuu (Ampharos), Lv. 46
-Rojo (Red Gyarados from LoR), Lv. 46
-BIDOOF (Misdreavus), Lv. 46
-SoulSilver (Lugia, of course), Lv. 46

My intention was to fill the 6th sloth with a Scizor, but never got one witha decent nature so I'm gonna leave it as it is. After all, my Pokémon types and moves cover all that is needed to kill th E4 and Lance.

BTW Lugia's cutscene inside the Whirl Islands was awesome (THAT waterfall!). When I get to fight Ho-oh will I see its cutscene as well or not? Anybody knows?

No, you will not see the cutscene for the Legendary your version is not named after. So SoulSilver won't see Ho-Oh's. And HeartGold won't see Lugia's.

After getting through the Victory Road, fighting our Rival again, are we training for the Elite Four. The team have a planned trip to Sinnoh soon, for the better training and learning some new moves. Also for some relaxing in the famous Resort Area, and to get to know eachother better and get the real teamspirit going, after that the final members, Japer the Misdreavus and Ruka the Skarmory finally joined the team.

At about 16:00: Beat Clair.
Team:
Feraligatr - Lv. fifty something
Jumpluff - Lv. about 45, I think

At around 18:00: Beat the pokemon league
Team:
Feraligatr - Lv. 55 (grew to 58 by the end)
Ho-oh - Lv. 45 (grew to 47)
Jumpluff - Lv. 45 (never had to use)

Eh...ok, fastforward...in Kanto. Beat Lt. Surge, Sabrina, and Janine so far, also fixed the power plant (time - about 24:00).

You know what? I skipped grinding for Clair. Now I'm at Lv 40 for the Elite 4, and I think that's good enough. Also...WAAAAAAAAY too long and drawn out to grind to Lv 45 for everyone.

tried to beat Whintey...with no cute results...went to train a bit,came back to goldnerod and beat whitney. Tried the pokeathlon(Power category),Lost in 3rd place...Catched SUDOWODO,named him like one of my teachersp),went to City´snameIcantspellright,explored the tower,beat my rival(Who uses Synthesis a lot...)Houndour evoled.
Beat Morthy(who has an epic sprite :3) easily since all my team members knew at last one Dark type move.Calculated the EXP of the battle so that on the instant I won against him,Croconaw Evoled.Finally,tried the Pokeathlon(Power)again and won first place!!

Kingdras take normal damage from Electric attacks. Found that out the hard way

You know what's really good for getting those last couple levels? The Daycare. It's mindless pedaling, but it saves you from the grinding blues. Plus you can hatch eggs while you're at it.

Look at those champs.

Congrats on placing in the Pokemon League V-Faction. I think I am going to beat the game with an all Johto team though.

I haven't done much since beating Morty in the Ecruteak Gym, just mostly sidequests. I got a Lapras from Union Cave and plan on adding it to my team as I need a Water-type Pokemon. But after that I plan on making my way to Olivine Town.

I will post my team a little bit later.

It looks like tomorrow is the Bug-Catching Contest again so it will be interesting to see what that has in store.

Since I last posted I beat Chuck and caught two other Pokemon, so now I have a full team of six. Right now I'm training up my guys to face Jasmine. I figure I'll try to get everyone up to at least 30 before I move on.

(On a side note, did anyone else find the new route that leads to the Safari Zone surprisingly difficult?)
