Scizor, Blissey, and Hydreigon
A number of powerful Pokémon will be showing up in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet over the coming weeks, to help players prepare for the coming appearance of Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles.

From August 9th at 00:00 (UTC) to August 17th at 23:59 (UTC), players will be able to encounter Scizor, Blissey, and Hydreigon in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. When defeating these featured Pokémon, players will be more likely to obtain the following items:
  • Scizor and Hydreigon
    • Protein
    • Calcium
    • Carbos
    • TM088 (Swords Dance)
    • TM100 (Dragon Dance)
    • TM129 (Calm Mind)
    • TM140 (Nasty Plot)
  • Blissey
    • Tera Shards
    • Exp. Candies
A second set of Pokémon, comprised of Blissey, Hatterene, and Grimmsnarl, will be available through August 18th at 00:00 (UTC) to August 31st at 23:59 (UTC). It's expected that bonus rewards will also be for Tera Raid Battles with these Pokémon, however the exact bonuses won't be released until later this month.

Both sets of Pokémon will then return for a simultaneous final run between September 1st at 00:00 (UTC), to September 17th at 23:59 (UTC).

To encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, players will need to first download the latest Poké Portal News. If players have connected their Nintendo Switch system to the internet while playing Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, this will happen automatically. Players can also manually download the Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, and then selecting Mystery Gift, and then Check Poké Portal News. After that, players will be able to start a Tera Raid Battle simply by walking up to and interacting with an appropriate Tera Crystal in-game. In the overworld, the Tera Crystals associated with these raids can be differentiated from other Tera Raid crystals by their aura, which is mostly clearly visible when looking at crystals on the map.

A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online, however players will still be able to challenge these Tera Raid Battles solo (supported by AI), or with other Trainers in local play without a membership.
