I just learned that, today, my family dog, Baxter, passed away. As I said earlier, he was very sick, which only exploded into several more things. However, he died peacefully in his sleep while at the vet. This was quite the shock, as my parents made a special trip over to my apartment to tell me the news. He was a standard sized dachshund, rescued from a hoarding situation, and lived to seven years old. Some of the issues that lead to his death were a ruptured disc, a heart murmur, and other stuff that I won't mention. This is a sad day for the family, but at least Baxter is now at peace among the stars. Farewell, Baxter, may the cosmos accept your soul among the stars.
