A Paldean Adventure awaits in Pokémon GO starting September 5th, with Pokémon GO debuts of the Paldean First Partner Pokémon, Lechonk, and their evos

During the Pokémon Presents livestream earlier this month, it was announced that Pokémon from the Paldea region would be making their Pokémon GO debut in September. Niantic has now released details on the upcoming A Paldean Adventure event, which will run from September 5th, at 10:00am to September 10th, at 10:00am local time, featuring the debuts of the Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Lechonk evolution lines. As a result of Trainers completing 20 Global Challenges during the Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global event, additional bonuses have also been unlocked in this event.

Pokémon debuts
The following Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will debut in this event:

• Sprigatito
• Floragato
• Meowscarada
• Fuecoco
• Crocalor
• Skeledirge
• Quaxly
• Quaxwell
• Quaquaval
• Lechonk ⁂
• Oinkologne (male)
• Oinkologne (female)

The requirements to evolve these Pokémon are as follows:

• Sprigatito → Floragato: 25 Sprigatito Candy
• Floragato → Meowscarada: 100 Sprigatito Candy
• Fuecoco → Crocalor: 25 Fuecoco Candy
• Crocalor → Skeledirge: 100 Fuecoco Candy
• Quaxly → Quaxwell: 25 Quaxly Candy
• Quaxwell → Quaquaval: 100 Quaxly Candy
• Lechonk → Oinkologne: 50 Lechonk Candy

Once this event has ended, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will be added to the pool of Pokémon that may hatch from 5 km Eggs, while Lechonk will be added to the poll of Pokémon that may hatch from 2 km Eggs.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• 4× XP for catching Pokémon
• 4× Stardust for catching Pokémon
• Roaming Form Gimmighoul won't appear at Golden PokéStops if a Golden Lure Module wasn't used, but Trainers may still find Gimmighoul Coins when they spin the PokéStop
• PokéStops may turn gold without a Golden Lure Module

Event-themed Field Research tasks will also be available, offering a selection of Pokémon encounters when completed (see below)

Activities featuring Lechonk
Three separate activities featuring Lechonk will be available during this event. Firstly, Timed Research featuring encounters with Lechonk will be available throughout the event. Occasionally, the Lechonk encountered through this Timed Research may be Shiny.

Secondly, an event-themed Collection Challenge will be available, with Trainers who complete these challenges receiving Stardust, as well as additional encounters with Lechonk.

Finally, select PokéStops during this event will feature Showcases where Trainers can enter their chonkiest Lechonk.

New avatar items
To celebrate the launch of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games on Nintendo Switch, the following new avatar items inspired by the main characters will be available to all Trainers starting on September 13th:

• Paldea Set (Kitakami)
• Paldea Backpack (Kitakami)
• Paldea Sandals (Kitakami)
