Adventure Week returns to Pokémon GO from July 27th to August 2nd

The annual Pokémon GO Adventure Week is back, featuring Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, and the Pokémon GO debuts of Mega Tyranitar, Shiny Tyrunt, and Shiny Amaura. Tyrunt and Amaura hatched from Eggs during the event will have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon than Tyrunt or Amaura found in the wild normally. This event will run from July 27th at 10:00am, to August 2nd at 8:00pm local time.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event:

• 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
• 5× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time
• 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event

Aurora adventures
Trainers will be treated to "a colorful surprise" in-game during this event if they keep a close watch on the in-game skies.

Free Timed Research
A free event-exclusive Timed Research will be available during this event, allowing Trainers to choose between exploration- and research-focused tasks. These Timed Research tasks and their rewards will disappear on August 2nd, at 8:00pm local time if uncompleted or unclaimed.

Paid Timed Research
Trainers can purchase event-exclusive paid Timed Research for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency) from July 27th at 10:00am, to August 1st at 8:00pm local time. Completing these research tasks related to exploring will award Trainers with two Incubators, a Super Incubator, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. This Timed Research tasks and their rewards will disappear on August 2nd, at 8:00pm local time. This Special Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

Collection Challenge
An event-themed Collection Challenge will be available for Trainers to complete as part of Adventure Week. If completed by the end of the event, Trainers will earn encounters with Tyrunt and Amaura, as well as Stardust.
