Adventures Manga: How far should I read?

Hi there,

I am actually reading the Pokemon Adventures Manga and now at Volume 12.
To be honest I am only interested in Kanto and Johto Characters but I also read that they also appear in later chapters like in Emerald and the remake chapters.
So is it usefull to read everything until I reach them to understand the story? and is also everything conneted to the remake ones or can I just skip everything up to them?

After you're done with GSC, you can just read FRLG, Emerald and HGSS while skipping everything else. Aside from Ruby and Sapphire's background (for Emerald), which is easy to understand, nothing will be missing.

Red, Green and Blue also have minor roles in the XY and ORAS arcs, but they aren't worth the time if you aren't interested in those games.

I myself haven't touched a single manga since I finished the ORAS chapter online. I'd say it's worth to read up to the end of Platinum, everything else goes downhill after that
