AG 153 "Battle Dome! Fusion of Fire and Water!!" Preview Thread

I think that Scott would have invited trainers other than Ash. The question is how many? If he can turn up to watch every battle, then probably not that many.

Brandon seems to be the equivalent of the Orange Islands' Drake. And my guess is that he just needs to be defeated for Ash to be victorious. He will probably get another trophy if he does win. Though I would love to see the scene if he does just get a berry! :p

Ah, the Orange Islands. I think it's easier to conceive Ash's journey in a place like that rather than back in Kanto. The main idea with the OIs is that they're saying "We're FAR AWAY, away from the canon of the games." Not to mention it had 4 GLs compared to BF's 6 Brains.

The writers just really screwed themselves by having this whole thing in Kanto, methinks. But hey, chances are good they'll ignore most of the complications when the time comes, so why fret.

I highly doubt Ash would be able to compete with the same badges as last time. I'm sure he could if he acquired other badges, such as the ones Gary did.

That wouldn't make any sense. That would mean that a single trainer can only enter the Indigo League 3 times in a lifetime (assuming that the 30 or so different Kanto badges we've seen are the only ones in the region) and after that - since they can't use the badges more than once, they're permanently disqualified from the league.

Well, they could get the same badges again. But there is still the issue of what is the point? Ash has already proven is skill by being able to beat them once, so why should he have beat them again? (Yes, I know he didn't exactly beat half of them in this case, but the point still stands...)
