Fine, make me do all the move threads.

Anyway, we have Agility, a Psychic-type move introduced in Gen. I that raises the user's Speed by two stages. Then, there's Rock Polish, a Rock-type move introduced in Gen. IV that does the same as Agility.

Which do you prefer?

Which would you use on the likes of Metagross, Gliscor, etc.?

Me? I say Rock Polish.

I choose Agility. This move could be learned by bird Pokemon and some others. The name of the move even sounds lighter (Rock sounds heavy...). Even Blaziken and Empoleon gets Agility.

Rock Polish, because the Pokémon that can learn it typically need it more.

I've always preferred Agility mainly cause it's learned by a large variety of Pokemon, especially ones I like to use personally. I don't really use a lot of rock-type 'mons aside from a select few, so Rock Polish sees very little use from me.

Most Pokémon that learn Agility don't really benefit from it, while many Pokémon like Rhyperior and Aggron that learn Rock Polish can become much more threatening after its use, especially the former with a Weakness Policy. So while Agility is better on paper due to its extra PP, Rock Polish is more useful in practice.
